Ministries/Events
Throughout the year we have multiple events and ministries happening where you can be involved in Knowing Him and Making Him Known.
Vacation Bible School
Vacation Bible School is one of the highlights of the year. Each Summer we take one week and dedicate the entire week to spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ to everyone who comes. There is a Bible story, games, snack, song time and at the end of the week a special service for the entire family with a video of the events of the week and a short Gospel message. We love this week! And we hope you will too. Come and join us for Vacation Bible School!
Bible Camp
Each year we encourage children to attend Bible Camp. For the past number of years we've sent our youth to Camp Chetek in Chetek, WI. Each year we've seen them come back telling stories about the great time they had, the new friends they made and the new things they learned about God and about themselves. The camp is open to all, not just to members of our church. So if you have a child or teen at home whom you believe would enjoy a week of camp in the summer, contact us or the camp and join in!
Church Camping Trip
Each August members of the church take a four day camping trip. Its a great time of relaxation, staying up too late, talking, and just having fun. We spend a lot of time at the lake water skiing, tubing and swimming. There are cabins and places to pitch a tent, showers and bathrooms and RV hook ups. It's a great time each summer.
Fall Kick Off
Each year we have what we like to call "Fall Kick Off." This day is dedicated to the youth in our area and it is a kickoff to the new school year with games, food, prizes, school supplies and a Bible story. It's always fun and we invite all the youth in the area to attend. Everything is free of charge.
AWANA
AWANA is a Scripture memory program geared toward evangelizing and discipling children and teens. We offer Awana programs from kindergarten through 6th Grade. We also have a teen bible study during the same times.

Deerwood Summerfest
Each year during Deerwood Summerfest the church opens it's doors to the community with free root beer floats. And on a hot day, that's a welcome relief. Come inside and take a seat, check out the church building, meet the pastor and other church members or just sit at a table and enjoy the air conditioning.
Missions
Deerwood Baptist Church has historically been a missions minded church. There have been mission trips to Canada, Mexico and the Philippines and we are always open to more trips to other regions of the United States and the world. As a local body, we can only physically reach our local area, but through the generous donations of our church members we support a number of missionaries and missionary projects around the world.
